EMERALD DUNGEON is a sexy, erotic novella that with a strong heroine, sizzling chemistry and a wee bit o' magic that will keep you glued to the page.

When Dana takes a leave of absence from her job to travel to Ireland and play her harp in a medieval musical troupe, she has no idea that her life is going to change so drastically. She stumbles upon a BDSM scene which scares her at the same time arouses her, bringing forth a submissive side that she didn't know that she had.

When she meets Jack, the sexy Dom with whom she's going to be working, he sees her submissive potential and aches to explore it with her. But she's determined to only have a summer fling and return to her life back in the States. Dana has to decide whether to play is safe or completely surrender to her Master to achieve pleasure she never thought possible and ultimately, love.

EMERALD DUNGEON is part of a series called 1-800-DOM-HELP which centers around a club that magically appears to help Doms and subs work out their problems in order to be together, but this book can easily be read as a standalone.

Dana is a woman in her thirties, taking a chance by leaving her job to travel across the world to play music, something that she loves but wasn't ever encouraged to pursue as a career. Then she gets a look at BDSM, and she takes more of chance to discover the feelings that she has when being dominated. I really admired her character for taking such big chances, and I was rooting for her to find the life that she deserved.

Jack was not my most favorite Dom. He was a bit wishy washy in my opinion. Being hurt in the past, he was punishing Dana for another sub's mistakes by waffling on whether they were going to have a relationship. He did endear me more toward the end, but I was frustrated with him in the beginning.

This 1-800-DOM-HELP prospect was intriguing. The number magically appears when a Dom or sub needs help figuring out what they want or how to get what they need. The number is a link to a club called Unfettered, which is a BDSM club. It only appears if you've been summoned, and it made me extremely curious about the other books in the series.

The chemistry between Dana and Jack was just as sizzling as the sex. The BDSM component was moderate in its intensity with flogging, caning, and whipping, as well as bondage and orgasm denial, but in no means was it extreme.

I gave this novella a 4 out of 5. It has a great heroine, an intriguing plot, steamy sex and a very erotic BDSM component. While this is my first book in the multi-author 1-800-DOM-HELP series, I can't wait to dive into more of them. This is also a first for me in reading anything by author Kathy Kulig, and I'm sure I'll search out more of her work as well.
